Miralda created Coloured feast for the opening of the John Kaldor Fabricmaker showrooms in September 1973. An enormous tiered table was covered in a display of colours inspired by John Kaldor Fabricmaker fabrics, with a feast including aspics, salads and canapés for 300 guests.
Coloured bread, presented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, saw an 8.5-metre banquet table laden with plaited breads and multicoloured loaves. The Australian’s Sandra McGrath called it “a splendid spectacle that is truly a feast of forms, colour and texture”.
